Prerequisites: Level 2 Character, Level 2 Narrative, Level 3 Patterns & Repetition Thursdays, 19:15-21:45, October 29-December 17 Class Show: Sunday December 20, 19:30 Performance Phase: January 2-February 20 *If you're a Viola Spolin supporter, please use the supplied discount code to register for this course for free.* In this performance studio, we'll explore different longer forms of improv. In long-form improv, the “referee" in short-form improv games disappears, the focus is exclusively on scene work, and all editing decisions are made by the players themselves. You'll be introduced to multiple long forms, including at least the Cat's Cradle, Pretty Flower, and Silent Soundtrack. Together, the group will then decide which to put focus on to stage a class show. During the Performance Phase, players will have access to by-weekly workouts, Saturdays 13:00-15:00. Players will perform the chosen form at least three more times in main Friday/Saturday night shows. We can't wait to laugh and learn with you!
