What if desire did not shout, but whispered?
In this workshop, we will explore the world of Chekhov through the lens of Eros — not just as sexual desire, but as a vital force, a pull toward the other, a source of tension, presence, and deep connection.
We will dive into scenes where longing, desire, and frustration unfold in subtle, restrained, and powerful ways. We will learn to hold silence, inhabit subtext, and improvise not from what is said, but from what is felt.
We’ll also explore the concept of erotic capital , the physical, emotional, and social qualities that create presence and attraction, and how this capital, as described by sociologist Catherine Hakim, can influence dynamics both on stage and in life.
