Service Description

Mondays, 17:15-18:45, September 2-December 9 Class Show: December 14, 20:00 Prerequisites: At least B2-level English Maybe you're the "class clown" who needs an outlet for all that energy. Maybe you're shy and quiet and looking to gain more social confidence. Maybe you've already done some stage work and are curious about improv. Or maybe you're just looking to try something new and fun! Either way, join us for this introductory improv comedy course and begin making all the world your stage! Together, we’ll create a conscious, supportive space where we’ll focus on becoming good listeners, making spontaneous choices, and working together as a team. We’ll empower each other with the “Freedom to Fail,” thereby unleashing our inner creativity. The concepts of presence, agreement, trust, commitment and support are fostered through large and small group exercises. By the end of the class, you’ll have learned numerous fun stage games and be prepared to begin scene work. We’ll also have a ton of fun and make new friends! In the end-of-class show, you’ll get to show off all you’ve learned to an invited audience of family and friends. We can’t wait to laugh and learn with you! For parents: All of our instructors have completed police background checks. The instructor for this course - Ally Young - has extensive experience in both improv and coaching youth. You and your child will be asked to read and follow our child protection policy. You will be asked to provide emergency contact information.
