Service Description
Prerequisites: At least one of Level 2 Character or Narrative Mondays, 19:00-21:30, January 5-February 23 Class Show: March 2 Music plays a huge role in movies, television and theater, and can add a whole new dimension to comedic improvisation. The best part is you don't need a trained voice! In fact, it's often funnier to have a mix of trained and untrained voices on stage. Taught by Tina Marie Serra and Joseph Pierce of Kaleidoscope, this Level 3 class will concentrate on short-form musical games, but will also provide a solid basis for incorporating music into long-form. Together, we’ll create a conscious, supportive space where we’ll focus on strong listening, making bold choices, and working together as a team. We’ll empower each other with the “Freedom to Fail,” thereby unleashing our inner creativity. Over 8 classes we'll be exploring the role of music in improv through short-form oriented games and scene-games. We’ll also have a ton of fun and make new friends! In the end-of-class show, you’ll get to show off all you’ve learned to an invited audience of family and friends. We can't wait to laugh and learn with you!
