Service Description
Prerequisites: Presence & Spontaneity or another Introductory Improv Course Wednesdays, 19:00-21:30, October 23-December 11 Class Show: December 18 This Level 2 class will provide a deep dive into character work. Over the course of 8 weekly sessions, you'll learn how to instantly create memorable, fun characters on stage. How do we use our bodies to learn and communicate who our character is? How do we make our characters relatable to the audience? How can we quickly switch between different characters? Together, we’ll create a conscious, supportive space where we’ll focus on strong listening, making bold choices, and working together as a team. We’ll empower each other with the “Freedom to Fail,” thereby unleashing our inner creativity. Over 8 classes we'll be exploring the nature of character through short-form oriented scene-games and long-form oriented scenes. We’ll also have a ton of fun and make new friends! In the end-of-class show, you’ll get to show off all you’ve learned to an invited audience of family and friends. This course is a prerequisite for Level 3 classes. We can't wait to laugh and learn with you!
